My agriscience teacher bought us plants for mothers day last year and i got this one.. that was SUPPOSIDLY called a "dark k/night" of some sort. I looked it up on the internet and its DEFINATELY not a dark knight! It isnt blue!

It's purpleish colored and REALLY tall. The top of the leaves are a dark purple almost brown color and the underside of them are a lighter purpleish color. The leaves are also kind of waxy on the top..

HEre's a pic:

The plant is ONLY the purple stuff. The green leaves are from other plants.

Thanks so much!

The patio room is connected to our house. The problem is, after a couple days or so, or warm temperatures, all of the snow falls like an avalanche off of the aluminum roof. the roof has a very light downward grade (slope). Not only is it loud (woke me up when it all came crashing down at 4AM) but it's dangerous for our pets and us who frequently use the back yard. It's kind of nice to have all of the snow off of your roof at once but it's scary. Any suggestions, thanks.

i work in an assisted living faucility. one resident has an urine odor that permeated everything. i washed her clothes twice with baking soda and commerical laundry detergent. it still smells. she is incontinent and changes herself often and they are removed often. the doctors are trying to figure it out. until they do are there any suggestion how to mask or get rid of the odor. we have all kind of commerical stuff. i was thinking something along the lines of a natural product.

My neighbor burns leaves and limbs under the tree and I think this is causing the limbs to become brittle and fall. One trunk of the tree does lean into the neighbors yard.

I'm just moving in and I need to paint the kitchen. The cabinets are light maple and the floor is wood of similar color and the countertop is also light. The room does not get alot of light so I'm afraid to use red which I think would look awesome. PLEASE help...I'm not sure what I should do. I'm pretty open but would like something that flows with my living room which is tan (walls) brown (couch) and teal (accent).

It is not the supply line, it's the drain. It is only with hot water. I presume that it is the pipes contracting but it seems to last a little longer than what you would think that explains. It only happens in the pipes leaving the upstairs bathroom. My main question is not so much why it is happening but what can be done to stop it.

I have an oil furnace. It underwent it's annual service in January. Less than two months later I awoke one cold morning to the smell of fuel oil throughout the house. The chimney was spewing thick black smoke, and the furnace itself was covered with soot and smoking. The serviceman told me it was a clogged nozzle. MY QUESTION: Is this a common problem? Why did it happen? Does the oil service company have any responsibility for this occurring? Can the nozzle clog up in such a short time - or did they not do a good job in servicing the furnace less than two months ago?

I have a brick retaining wall that has loose bricks. Lots of them! How do I replace the bricks in the wall. There's no breaks or big cracks. The bricks have just come loose and the mortor is either stuck to the brick or the brick still in the wall. Does the old mortor have to be chipped off and how is that done. Can it be done easily? And what do you use to correctly replace the brick in the wall to stay. Do you use a sealer after its been repaired?
Thanks

They can't agree on a color!! I told them to pick two colors and we will paint 2 of the walls one color and the other 2 walls another color. The two older girls like baby blue. My 3 year-old likes any color. Their furniture is a light pine. Please help me pick out 2 colors for their room or a color that will go with the baby blue (just not white). We want to paint the trims and closet door off white. Thanks for your help.
