We have just installed a new submersible 1/2 horsepower well water pump and new pressure tank. Our pressure is way too high and something is causing alot of air in the lines. You can turn the faucet on and it blows water everywhere. Is there a way to get this air and high pressure adjusted out? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I know a few ppl who pride themselves on living w/o a dishwasher. Supposedly, it saves water/energy.

Let's say I take off all the extra-special heat settings, and just let my dishwasher run the normal cycle, but full of dishes.
Does that really take up more water than by hand? I say, running your faucet for 15-20 minutes straight would take up more water than the machine.

Are there any studies that conclusively show, one way or the other? Why is this so often repeated? How can dishwashers be so bad when they make me so happy?

We have just bought a house for me, husband and 3 kids. Whilst it is liveable in, it needs replastering, decorating, carpeting and a new kitchen and bathroom. It also needs the ceilings artexing and the lighting/electrics rewiring. Question is where do we start? Do we do one room at a time from start to finish? Or do we do each job in all the rooms at the same time? Which room do I do first? I say the lounge because it is where the kids spend most of their time. Husband thinks kitchen but it is useable as it is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I seem to think it is nasty to use a used washing machine.. Like especially putting your under garments in a used washing machine... Am I stupid or what?? Like what if someone with a nasty disease had used the washing machine before and then when I put my clothes in there would that be gross??? I know the water and soap cleans but still I have a wierd feeling.. please tell me your opinions on this.

Last year i bought my house as an investment house, I'm currently living in it. I'm looking in to selling it about four years from now. I got it for 200k and it got valued at 225k. It's wise to invest my savings in to home improvements to gain value when i sell my house 4 yr from now? Will the market turn within next four years?

I want to partition an existing bedroom to create a new bathroom. A builder will install a window (in place of brick wall) and soil pipe. Local council have sent through some details on building regs, but I'm not quite sure what I need to do. Does anyone have any experience of this? Do I submit drawn plans, which of the fees apply, etc. Or any links to good websites?
Thanks!
