Why would you want to kill it? See if some neighbors or friends want a chunk. It is beautiful!

I'd go with the weed killer. A grass killer should work fine.

You can't burn it--my grandmother burns hers every year so it comes back green and healthy. Grass usually works on the prairie fire principle--if the top burns (like prairies burn on a regular basis), the bottom will come back nice and healthy and it usually looks a lot better. So that won't kill it.

My mom chopped hers down and dug it all up and pulled up any stragglers.

But I wouldn't recommend that. She's one vicious gardener, and I'm not sure you could work up the rage she worked up against her unruly pampas grass.

When she says, "your a $$ is grass and I'm the lawnmower," you better watch out! I mean, after seeing what she did to the grass...whoa.

dig it up. take a 4wd truck, hook a chain up to the roots and pull that son of a gun out the ground and toss it to the curb.
