Hi there,
I recently asked where the cheapest place to get paint would be and got a great answer about checking habitat for humanity in my area. I did go to the website - but couldn't find where to go for businesses that have made donations such as paint or other household materials. Can someone direct me maybe what to put in the search? I am from Saint Paul, MN. Thanks!

I recently painted my automatic garage door but with the wrong color. I did not want to paint it too soon because the paint might not stick to the garage door properly? How long should I wait before I could paint it over again?

Problem is that the house I am renting: the master bathroom has dark green tile (floor), white counter/cabinets, white walls with gardenia floral border (at top, near ceiling). Then the master bedroom has ugly brown carpet, white walls and I already have an iron sleigh bed, jaqaurd bedding with gold/brown tones. I was thinking of using a linen/khaki colored towels & rugs in bathroom since it has a touch of that color in the border, but my bedroom is so large I know I need to paint the walls too. What color do you suggest I paint master bedroom walls and how do I tie in my gold bedding with the aweful green tiles of the bathroom?

I live right beside a basketball gym (10 meters away) where they make a lot of loud noises like shouting people, buzzers, whistles, music, and loud-speakers. I have a baby who often wakes up because of these loud startling noises. I already asked tried talking to the gym, the local government, and even the police, but no one could over any help. Moving houses is not an option for my family so I really need help. Is there a way to block these noises? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

The noise just started two days ago. It's continuous and faint, like a very high pitched buzz. It wasn't there before. It sounds like its coming from behind a wall where there are pipes. If you put your ear up to the wall, you can hear it clearly as well as the sound of water going through pipes. I live in an old, pre-war apt. building in NYC.

Thanks!

It is from Walmart and it has a very detailed threaded pattern on the front. It says dry clean only but I heard once that if something has never been dry cleaned before that you can wash it in a regular washing machine on the gentle cycle. I'm on a budget and it needs to be washed. Only serious answers please. I need to know if this is true.

I have a lime green, butter soft italian leather hobo. It's beautiful, and I ruined it by reaching for an uncovered pen in my bag, and now have a nice blue Nike swish on my beautiful hobo. Can someone tell me how to get the ink off the leather without ruining the integrity of the leather?

Help! My kitchen needs a makeover! Here's what has to stay - the floor has a marbled look to it - it is mostly white but has blueish gray in it, the cabinets are a beautiful dark wood to match the rest of the trim in our home, and the countertop is pale blue.
The kitchen is quite small, and sort of dark because of all of the dark wood cabinets, but I am not willing to paint the cabinets. I consider myself to be good at interior design, but I am just stumped because of the high contrast between the pale blue countertop and the dark cabinets. I love the floor, but hate the countertop. I know you can buy paint to paint the counter, but I am too scared to do that. I would consider having someone put new laminate on the countertop, but I have no idea how much this would cost or who (a store?) you would go to to ask about this.
Another problem I have is that there is a LOT of trim in our kitchen. This means I have to decide on two colors instead of one.

Thanks!
