We've received recommendations from HVAC dealers to replace our current 125,000 BTU 80% efficient furnace with a 90% efficient furnace, but they are recommending units with different BTU's from 100,000 to 110,000 to 120,000. How do I know which furnace will work the most efficiently in my home?

There was construction across the street from me and when they cleared the field they are building on all the mice from down there are comming into the houses of the residents around here and I was just wondering what the best bait to use in the traps is. I use Peanut Butter because it sticks but I'm open to suggestions if someone has better stuff. Oh, I'm using just the regular Victor mousetraps not the humane kind. Sorry to all you mouse loving folks out there.

At my work, we use stickers to label cassettes.

However, we reuse those cassettes, and everytime that happens, someone has to take a knife and scrape the sticker off.

Is there any easier way to do it?? I know they have liquids out there that remove stickers, but:

1) We do SO many cassettes, I'm afraid it wouldn't be cost effective
2) I wouldn't want the liquid to damage the recordings on the tapes

any ideas?

I recently painted my bedroom a warm tan color. My base board are white, my curtains are white, and all of my bedding is white. My bedroom furniture is a deep chocolate brown and I have some rot iron peices in the room. I love these colors, but did I go about this the right way? Is it alright to use this color on my walls and such a large amount of white in other places, if so, should I throw in an accent color to give the room more of a punch? Any suggestions?

My mom-in-law passed away and we are moving into her house. She lived there for 45 yrs with all the accumulation that goes with it and then some, along with a lot of antiques. I dont know what is worth keeping or not and need to make room for our "stuff" too. Unfortunately have had bad expiriences having people come into our home to help with identifying pieces worth keeping. I just dont know where to start to make space for our "stuff" since she was (like me) a "pack rat". We really need to get a move on this and stop dragging our feet. There is so much in the house that we are overwhelmed and we really dont know where to start. We have at least donated the clothing and gotten rid of perishables. Any suggestions on how to proceed with the cleaning out of the house enough to make room for our belongings?

Every other room in the house has electricity except my master bedroom and my closet. Even the bathroom in my bedroom has electricity. I tried to flip the switch to the breaker, but it doesn't stay in position it keeps flipping back. Anyone know what's wrong with it. I'm going to contact an Electrician but didnt' know if this was a major problem to fix and what the costs associated with it would be. Any ideas? Anyone know of a good electrician in Houston?

My kitchen window faces next door's and both blinds were up, with my next door neighbour doing his washing up and looking out of the window - eye contact was made! I saw my look of surprise and horror reflected in his face!

Then last week my husband saw the girl next door naked, in a similar situation. Do you think the men should show us their privates just to even things up a bit?

I am a beginner gardener that wants to grow rosemary, lavender, etc indoors. i know that those plants (especially rosemary) needs plenty of sunlight, but i wont be able to give it to them. It is out of the question to grow them outside because of all the bad animals out there (they eat and mess up everything!!). the only alternative is to plant inside. i have a shade house. sunlight doesnt come through any of my windows, and id have to walk 30 feet from my house just to get some sun. i would like to know, since i wont be able to give my plants the right amount of sun and heat they'll need, cant i just shine a bright lamp on them a few hours a day to replace the sun??? please help me out!!
