I want to make a garden in pots/bed. I dont have enough lawn to make one in the ground, so I need tips on how to make one in containers. Like whats the best vegetables to grow, how to make it thrive, etc. Thanks!

I don't know about websites, there are a few good messageboards on ivillage where you can ask lots of questions.
But the best book I have come across is: "The Vegetable Gardener's Bible" by Edward C. Smith. You can get it at any bookstore or library.

I don't know where you live... but my favorite website is www.floridata.com... Its plant descriptions is amazing.
Also has a category of plants good for containers, including some vegetables: http://www.floridata.com/lists/container_plants.cfm?CFID=4811483&CFTOKEN=24623292
If its not on the list, probably not good for containers.

michiganbulb.com has all kind of suggestions and information about anything you need to know about planting and growing flowers, vegetables, trees, shrubs, perennials, etc. It'll show you what your area suggestions are and even ideas for garden planning.
