You probably just need a new washer and valve seat. Again you need to take the valve out, and the valve seat with a valve seat wrench, get a new washer and valve seat.

It depends on the type of faucet. But you would need to turn off the water at the main where it enters your house. Then you need to remove the handle wither with a screwdriver or Allen wrench. Now unscrew the escutcheon fitting and you should see the stem. Open the faucet wide open and unscrew the nut at the base of the stem. You should be able to remove the stem and the washer. Replace the washer and start reassembling the fixture.
