This just got posted in science/ecology, too.
This all started b/c I have two boxes of fridge baking soda, used, but I don't want to dump it b/c...
I had this crazy hippie stepmother who taught me to save the earth, back in 1989.
And I agree.
So, what tips can you share with everyone?

I have a very ugly house. I want to destroy it! I've tried everything. I ate the doorknobs, threw bricks at my windows. I even made holes in the ceiling with a rubber axe!

I took an anvil and dropped it on my roof and it went BOOMBOOM!!! but now, I'm worried that squirrels will get into my house and bite my toes off in my sleep.

I have a peach tree, two cherry trees and several rose bushes that have started to wilt rapidly. the ends of the leaves look burnt and crusted. I suspect some kind of fungus. Is this common in Nevada? How do fix the problem?

Thanks

I have a garden gnome that is planning to sneak on my roof and clock up my chimney with pumpkins and textbooks.

Is there any way I can stop it?

I threw it in my neighbors yard but it came back the next day.

What does it mean if starting a few months ago the shower in my bathroom has been really noisy. It's this mildly high pitched sort of metallic wooshing sound whenever the shower is in use. But if I have the water come through the faucet for the tub it's quiet. If I lower the pressure for the shower it goes away, but OTHER people are too stupid to do that. Is there anything I can do to fix it myself?

I have a potted callalily that I want to transfer to the yard. When and how do I do this? Some of the leaves are starting to get yellow. I don't know how much light or water it should be getting, as it was given to me with no instructions. Thanks!

I know this sounds like a really dumb question but I rent a house with a self cleaning oven in the litchen. The landlord informed us that the previous tenant used an oven cleaner for regular ovens and it did something to the inside surface of the oven ( left a stain or blemish )The landlord says he does not know if it is now safe to use the self cleaning feature now but only wants us to use a cleaner safe for self cleaning ovens. All the oven cleaning sprays I can find say not to use on self cleaning ovens.
Does such a product exist and if not...is it safe to use the self cleaning feature now?

Any suggestions? The kitchen appliances are all black. What color would be good for countertops and cabinets. I have to choose the colors of the vinyl siding although I do not want white because it gets dirty fast. I think I have chosen this taupy brown for the walls throughout and dark cherry ceiling fans. What about the carpet any suggestions or any good websites? My favorite color is red if that would help.

I'm replanting a bulb bed and since it was so full of the Stargazer lily's last year I want to share them in other beds. I was suprised at how large the bulbs are but that I had so few for the amount of flowers I had the last two years. So I wonder can I split these hugh bulbs into many differnt small parts and replant them?

yes, I'm new to this...
