Spray with Lysol and wipe the handset down with an alcohol swab.

I clean them frequently.

At work I use an alcohol prep; at home I squirt some windex on a papertowel and clean the phone. Also put a little cologne on your hands then rub on handset so it smells like cologne rather than breath.

How about trying a simple wet cloth across the hand set.

Ewww, that's gross....but I would say Alcohol and spray it with Lysol and that new Clorox that's safe for surfaces close to the skin and even febreze!

I never experienced this problem before but I would probably use normal perfume.
