.the refrigerant must be evacuated to an outside tank by a qualified serviceman.... their is no servicing a unit that requires you to do this...if this needs to be done there would have to be a major problem with your unit...examples are.. you have a freon leak or the compressor is bad and needs replaced or the expansion valve is bad..or reversing valve is bad...any other servicing can be done without this procedure...

Call for a certified A/C Tech. They have the proper equipment to do so. You will be causing damage to the point where simple maintenance becomes a major repair.

You call a licenced technician. You would be violating Federal EPA laws if you are not licenced for handling freon.
