I've seen people make mosaics for kitchen backsplashes and under bars in their kitchen/family room, but I've never seen a mosaic in a bedroom. I want to make one for my room, but I don't know where I could put it! Have you ever seen mosaics in a bedroom? Where did the person put it in the room? Thanks :)

I have been told that sand would work just fine and it would also help protect and support the pipe. What do you think?

I want to try a liquid lawn fertilizer. I've only used the granules but think I'd get better results with a spray on like you attatch to a hose. This is for my house, not a commercial application. I want to use this for my lawn, not a garden.

Should the boiler thermostat be set to 'high' and used less often or set 'low' and used more regularly? Should radiators be set to 'high', 'medium' or 'low' to make the most of this heat? What is the most energy efficient combination?

We are removing the linoleum in our kitchen to install bamboo floors. It came up fairly easy (with just pulling). However, the linoleum backing and glue did stay behind. It appears to be damp and the glue and backing come off pretty easy with a razor blade. It did a moisture test and it came back positive with moisture but only looked like it was at the top of the concrete. Can linoleum hold moisture and if we let it dry out, will we still have a problem later on? I can't figure out if the moisture is coming from the slab or somewhere else (maybe due to mopping). Thanks!!!

Yeah I woke up to a burn hole caused by a cigarette yesterday. I have to patch it but I don't have a sample of the carpet. I rent so I can't just cut another piece from another area. Where could I look to find this type of carpet. I've tried stores all around where I live and I can't find crap. Please help me.

It's been our problem, sometimes faucet is almost clogged after few months, tiles get rough, pots get heavy, and white clothes don't stay clean white after few washings.

I have to repair a wall where a door knob knocked a hole in it. I know I need sheet rock and that mesh stuff to do it, but I was wondering if I have to buy a whole big piece of sheet rock or if they sell smaller sizes.

the new one never shuts off, when i checked, the pipe coming from the pump was hot, so i shut it off. should i return the pump for another one, or is there something i should do. there's very little water. after it being off all night, when turned back on, it's on for maybe 6 or 7 seconds, then off, then 1 minute, back on, and so forth.
