Then when carpet is dry you can then sprinkle some baking soda on your carpet and leave on for a few hours or over night then the next day or what ever length of time you have chosen you can then vacuum up the baking soda, thats it Dog odor gone, your carpet will be fresh and clean and sanitized by the vinegar it will be safe for babies and small children to crawl on even, Vinegar also brightens and whitens whites and colors, Note: there will be a little odor from the vinegar once it has been done just for a few hours then it will disipate.
