This is just a guess, but leather in the tropics does not seem like a great idea. Moisture and humidity come to mind.

If you calculate shipping. You could probably have something more tropical for the cost of shipping. Fabric upholstery seems more appropriate.

Just regular and normal dusting should take care of it. Don't use any products, they may react adversely with the heat and humidity. Just make sure you don't keep your leather furniture in the direct sunlight, especially during the hottest hours of the day. Good ventilation will be essential in the new surroundings, and if you can use air conditioning at least part of the day - I don't think you'll have any problems at all.
I think leather is probably a lot more user friendly in a
tropical climate than many synthetic upholstery materials.

need a good leather conditioner on a regular basis to get rid of any mold by the high humidity in the tropics.
hope where you use the furniture you have access to an A/C who by eliminating the humidity in the room will help to keep the furniture longer.

Leave the furniture at home and take a friend instead.

Leather furniture is no fun on a holiday.

use saddel soap on it to keep it supple
