I painted my office yellow (kind of a daffodil color) with white trim. The floor is medium toned hardwood and the desk mostly matches the floor. I'm looking for a rug. I was leaning toward something natural (sisal maybe?) but now I think I want something soft and comfy since I'll spend 10 hours a day in the room. Any suggestions? Also - I plan on buying a nice comfy chair to go in the room too (in addition to the more practical desk chair). Should it match the rug or contrast? Help! I don't have a decorator's bone in my body!

My roomie had "some guy" change the apartments thermostat...we have heat but now no AC. The old thermostat is a White-Rodgers Thermo and the one now installed is a Hunter 4411. Presently its wired at:
Green to G
Orange to RC
Red to RH
Yellow to Y
White to W
Black, brown and blue are just tucked away inside not touching anything.
Anyone know the correct wiring for this?

My husband and I recently moved into our first home. The yard is beautiful. It has about 6 Oak trees that surround our front porch, front yard, and driveway. Now just as winter hit is when we moved in and the trees made sap like crazy! They were huge blobs almost quarter sized drops on our windshields and front porch. Now that winter is coming to an end and our trees are starting to get their leaves back, the sap is here again.

My question is this, during what seasons are these trees going to do this? It causes all of these tiny little bees to swarm ALL over my yard. Which, could be another question, how do I get rid of those? I can't find the nest... how do I find it?

My cubicle at work has a desk that locks and my key broke off in it, it's taking maintenence forever to fix it and I have things in it I really need. My different co workers have suggested using a strong magnet and we have tried using fine tools like pliers and needle nose tweezers to try and grip the broken key but to no avail. I am at my wits end and tempted to try a crowbar which I don't know where I will get one but just frustrated. Any suggestions folks?

I just put out Weed 'n' Feed fertilizer about a week ago. We had a nice, slow rain last night. Now my weeds are a foot tall. Should I let the W 'n' F kill the weeds, or go ahead and mow them? My lawn looks awful!

I have bought two boxes of roses from the garden centre and I have planted them. It says on the box that you musn't plant them in wet or frosted weather. So why did they tell me to soak them before planting them? And how long will it take for them to look very rosy?

I have a small-ish and flat garden. The corner is all soil and plain. My mother has given me about 10 rocks which are about 12 -15 inches in length and width.

I tried to build a rockery in the corner of my garden but it has turned out like a roman wall. I'm hoping my neighbours don't see it through their bedroom window as they'll think I'm not all there.

Please please help me!!! I will be so grateful if you can give me some tips on rockerys and small gardens as I can't find any websites that can help me.
