Quite a small garden. It's boring, plain and flat. What can I do to make it look bigger?

30ft X30ft.. hhhmmm. [thinking] You could plant lots of Bonsai trees and maybe recreate a themed garden, pit in a model railway track and some miniature buildings, you could make some mini fences an buy some Britain's farm toys and set up a whole farming scene. this would look great and you would feel like a giant.. but thus overall making your garden appear enormous from a 1:32 scale..

Train some of your plants to trellises. This will give you height to your garden. A row of sunflowers would do the same. Also, you might try putting a 2 ft walkway down the middle and make you garden on each side of the walk. This way you can have 14 ft. rows and have different things growing opposite each other to give your garden more character. Experiment with diffferent heights and shapes in your plants to keep it interesting. For a visually pleasing look, alternate rows of vegetables and flowers and place taller growing plants in back. This will give your garden a cascading effect.

That is not a good shape for a garden. One wants a garden to be narrow and long for accesability. By make that several long plots it will improve its appearance and you will be able to view the plants better and take care of them from the walkways.

Still, that is a huge garden by comparsion to most, The amount of veggies from that plot will feed an army! Congradulations !!!

Have you thought about making a few raised flower beds to kind of separate the height of your garden area they are really easy to make also are you doing vegtables and flowers or just one of them if you are like doing beans there are some really cool bean fences that again would bring some height to your garden space-there are so many great ideas out there but 30x30 to me would be a great working area be creative have Fun!

Plant your plants in layers of different heights around the borders to add depth. Also, if you have a privacy fence you might try painting it or adding decorative touches such as mirrors or sconces. Water features or a small sitting area add variety also.
