My husband being a penny pincher, makes everyone use their towels 2 or 3 times before tossin' them to the laundry.(I'm grown, so I refuse to do this, ick) The thing is I wash them and they smell great, but by the next day after it has been used(ick) they have a mildew smell. We have a towel rack that allows the towels to be spread out and air to move through so they dry and I even will spray with lysol and then fabreeze. But for whatever reason, they still smell like mildew. Is it because I line dry them? What can I do to keep them from smelling like mildew(other than washing daily)? I already use bleach in the wash. I have since stopped letting my kids use them 2 or 3 times before washing them, its just gross.

I have a cottage in the West of England with woodland and the Highways people have asked me to trim back about 200 yards of beech trees and to fell one of them which is a huge tree. They are closing the main road for this to be done on a Sunday so I am paying double time etc. What is a reasonable price?

They got in there from the half inch (or so) gap between the bottom of the post and the cement porch. Sprays wont work, we've tried, we cant get it to shoot upwards into the post. Just makes them mad. Will taping them in work?

The wall box will have two side by side oulets covered by one plate cover. I will be supplying from an outlet on the other side of the wall. Do i simply connect the incoming line to the top screws of the first receptacle and then branch off the from the bottom set of screws to the second receptacle. Or do I split the incoming line and join it to both outlets on the top screws.

When no one is at home, I set the a/c to "off" and then it turns on about 30-45 minutes before I get home (programmable thermostat). Alternatively, I could set the thermostat to a higher temperature during the day, but I don't want it to run all day even if it is at a higher temperature. However, by turning it off all day, will the a/c consume just as much power when it comes on in the evening to get things cool again? I live in Texas, so summers get really hot! I'm also out of the house for around 10-12 hours during the week. Any advice? Does the opposite hold true in winter???

Do you know where I can get a free pattern for an easy Easter quilt or easter bunny. I've been searching but haven't found any yet. Maybe an Easter table runner or something cute. I also wanted to make something for three young girls.

Thanks in advance

in my apartment last night when I came home! I killed dozens of them and vacuumed them up. Then I ran out and bought bug spray and ant traps. I was afraid to go to sleep. But I only saw one this morning. I saw them in every room of my place but MOST of them were in the second bedroom not the kitchen. What caused the bugs? The weather change? It was in the 40s a few days ago, today it’s in the 70s. Go figure.

Does anyone know about how much they charge for just the labour to install laminate (400 sq ft), also to install porcelain tile (75 sq ft)? Per sq ft?

any ideas for an easy easter quilt?

I'ld like to make an Easter quilt or stuffed bunny for Easter gifts. I can't seem to find a free pattern, maybe an easter flower basket or an easter table runner or something creative. Thanks in advance.

We just bought a house and pulled up the carpet in the living room, which has hardwood floors underneath. But now we have about an inch gap from where the floor is to where the wall starts what should i use to cover it? It has a pretty good breeze because we only have a crawl space no basement! HELP!

And gloss or satin/matt finish?

This is a follow on from my previous question. I've decided on a black granite worktop and a fairly light (eg beech) wood floor. The room is large (6m x 5.2m) but only half of it will have units & island in. There are no children in the house, just naughty cats.

Everyone's being really helpful here - thanks so much again.
