They got in there from the half inch (or so) gap between the bottom of the post and the cement porch. Sprays wont work, we've tried, we cant get it to shoot upwards into the post. Just makes them mad. Will taping them in work?

Hi bcky.I once had a similar problem with wasps in my gable ends. What i did was I made a thick sugar water solution.Wasps naturally love sugar and they injest it.Next i mixed a small amount of Raid into the sugar solution.(just use a small amount or they wil not injest the concoction).Ithen soaked a rag in the solution
and placed the rag at the entrance to the nest ,so that each wasp would have to land on it in order to enter their nest. They began to eat the offering and subsequently fell to the ground at the entranceway ,ending the problem.

Go to a gardening store in your area.Ask them what you should use to get rid of them. They are experts and know what they are talking about. Speaking from experience only try getting rid of them during the evening hours, for some reason they aren't as likely to attack at night

If you can seal the crack, they will die and no more can get in. Just get a container of wood filler and fill up the opening and run some tape around it to hold it in place.
