It absorbs well, and does not leave lint like a cloth or a paper towel. I use this "old fashioned" method, that my dad taught me. It saves me from buying expensive paper towels and it is a good way to reuse newspaper!

Newspaper doesn't have as much lint or loose fibers as regular paper towels. If it did, it wouldn't run as fast as it does on those high-speed printing presses.

because it is recycled paper(most times) so then the type of paper cleans it better than ordinary paper and cloth
