I have a cottage in the West of England with woodland and the Highways people have asked me to trim back about 200 yards of beech trees and to fell one of them which is a huge tree. They are closing the main road for this to be done on a Sunday so I am paying double time etc. What is a reasonable price?

Your best bet is to get a quote from some local tree fellers companies or landscapers or even try asking your local council if they will do it and give you a quote. A rough quote to take down one tree in our avenue on a normal day can be anything up to £1000 for a day for 2 men - then everything here is a rip off anyway. Its going to be expensive what ever you do.

This isnt going to be cheap at all. Tree-surgery is a skilled trade, and removing an entire tree can cost in excess of £1,000.

I'd get a few competitive quotes before committing to anyone. Try here for a few numbers: http://www.treesurgery.com/directory/england.htm

The bushes are the only source of oxygen we breathe in. devoid of them, there could be no life on earth. Governments shrink down bushes to make room for grazing land for the animals, to unfold their structures for clean homes and properties with the transforming into populations, and to enhance the recycling technique. regrettably, they shrink them down swifter than plant them back, which ultimately will pull a toll on the biosphere. people are egocentric beings who will decide for wealth over life, no count what destruction is in touch. the only thank you to end it if human populations are controlled, and if sufficient people cares to impression governments.
