I just put out Weed 'n' Feed fertilizer about a week ago. We had a nice, slow rain last night. Now my weeds are a foot tall. Should I let the W 'n' F kill the weeds, or go ahead and mow them? My lawn looks awful!

mow now, the weed and feed will probably last all season( read directions) if it has been a week you should be good to mow

If they're really that tall, mow 'em now. Then just start over.

I think your directions will say to mow 2 days after putting down the w-n-f and a good watering or rain.

So mow now; and add more weed-n-feed - probably about half, especially if you mow with a bagger.

Weed and feed is actually a pre-emergent and fertilizer; it was supposed to be applied before the weeds came up so you are wasting your money now you are just fertilizing your weeds at this point go ahead and cut the grass. Cut it tall and it will help to choke the weeds back.

how tall is the grass.a lot of people mow their lawn to low .cut the grass so it is about 3 inches .and make sure that the blades are good and sharp.you can do more damage cutting it to low with dull blades..
