So tired of my beautiful black clothes fading with each wash ='( I usually wash on gentle cycle, cold water, little detergent. I've tried woolite dark, and it seems to leave the fabric kinda rough. Don't really like it. Any advice on how to keep blacks bold when washing??

ok, this is such a gross question. There are mice in this place I live at. I have a cat, and he keeps the mice away (from me). They move inside when it is cold.

Yesturday, my friend saw a rat moving about underneath the porch next door. Now I am scared those things are going to come into this place too. Cause there are mice living in the houses next to me as well. It surprised me that a rat would be about. Can some please let me know if they will or not? I hate having the mice, and they creep me out enough. But rats???? I am freakin' here.

my toaster is getting pretty gunky. sure you can take the crumb trays out and shake the darn thing and get what you can out but, a lot of it is still inside. years ago they used to sell dime size brushes to reach way down inside and sweep away the crumbs without any damage to the coils. i thought about compressed air but i don,t want to go to the hardware and purchase an air compressure just for that job.

I am in the process of purchasing a townhome that has popcorn ceilings. I know the way to remove it, long and tedious. However, I was watching a home improvement show today where they dry walled over the ceiling! I do have higher ceilings, is this really an alternative to the old way??

My room has no ceiling light and only a switched outlet that i can plug a lamp into. The thing is that the lamps i have are not bright enough... i like it bright. Can anyone please let me know how to install a ceiling light. Can i go into the attic and run the switch wire to the junction box that will be installed? thanks in advance for the help.

I cannot seem to get the rust stains out of porcelin bathtub. I have tried comet with bleach, clorox bleach, CLR, Magic Eraser and soft scrub. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm sick of looking at the funk everytime I take a shower and too grossed out to take a bath.

I am turning my attached garage 20x40 into a finished room for the house. It has a concrete floor with only a few hair line cracks (nothing is heaved or uneven) and doesent seep or leak.

What I need is a durable floorcovering (cannot be carpet) that looks nice and is very reasonable in price. Suggestions?
