We just got this house and it has the most awkward floor plan that I've ever seen. I was wondering if anyone has this style of home and if so, how did you situate your furniture?

I would sugggest you request a brochure from Ryland and that would be a better start for you. If by chance there is a Ryland home model in your area then visit it and adapt your own tastes to it as models are usually furnished to enhance a sale.

Beyond that, look in magazines for similarities and also ask advice for furnishings from trusted and tasteworthy friends...

Keep in mind that your home should reflect your own personality in order for you to feel comfortable. Don't imprison yourself in a glass house for appearances as you are the one living there and not the impressed onlookers...

Actually, there are books with floor plans with furniture arrangements in them. I am also sure there are several examples on the internet of these. If you cannot seem to find them, please email me directly......!!
