Since they use chemicals and the shirts are in contact with your body all day long, could there be a harmful effect? Okay so if you wear a t-shirt, there is still the residual odor that remains with the cleaned clothes. What do you think?

Here's an odd question:

The original lid for our well was falling apart and was too flimsy anyways since we live on top of a hill. The wind is very punishing. I built a new lid...shingles and all, but it's too heavy to lift (but heavy enough the wind won't lift it off). It's about 5' by 5' and sits over the well. Does anyone have an ingenious idea that could be used to lift a heavy well lid from one side?

Thanks!

Tap water mineral deposits.

I've tried scraping it repeatedly with a spoon and wet paper towels, but they don't remove it all.

I boiled saltwater in the pot, hoping the resulting salt cake will stick to the stains, but the bubbling prevents effective surface adhesion.

Anybody got a better way?

So, heres the situation. We have this house that has too much junk. There is stuff here that is more than 20 years old that we do not use. Heres the problem, we just found out that we are moving in June! A little over a year ago a car hit out house & that's why we are moving. We can't fix the house, so we are just gonna have it tore down. I want to keep my room organized, so that when it comes time to pack, I won't forget anything. My mom said that shes going to leave the junk inside the house, but theres a problem there too, how will we know if there is something we really need. I have junk and important things all mixed up in my room and I'm very very unorganized. How can i learn to be organized?? Also, what can I do with my junk other than just leaving it?? Thanks

I just got a standing Kenmore freezer from someone and I need to know how to tell if it is a self defrosting freezer. It is from the 70's(by the look of it, the inside of the door is green) and if it makes any difference it has a lock on the door.. Thank you

I have a portable baseboard style heater that needs the plug replaced. Neither wire is color-coded. So, does it matter which wire goes on either terminal of the new plug?

I bought a new dryer and when I plug it up it does not work, a multi meter was used to check and make sure the dryer is getting the correct amount of amps but the dryer will still not work. We've had 3 dryers(the same kind) from Lowes and none of them work so we had to send them back. When Lowes checked them they worked. So why wont they work in my house?

It would just be me washing and ironing other peoples clothes at my home. I'm wanting to know from other people that do this how they work it. How much do they charge, do they wash everything including underwear or everything but underwear, do they pick up or do we and same for drop off. Any help would be great. I need more money and I can't go back to work yet so I'm taking the initiative!
