Always water on the ground underneath the foliage, not overhead. Roses don't like sitting around with wet leaves and stems, it invites blackspot and other fungal problems. Don't overcrowd, causes the same issue, and plenty of sunlight. Reds and pinks tend to be the most robust, then oranges and yellows. The lilacs and silvers tend to be more fussy. Also, no such thing as a blue rose, those pics of Blue Girl are doctored to pieces. It's really more of a lavender.

When a rose blooms, pick it, pinch off the petal base for it is bitter..
1 rose
1-2 peppermint leaves
1/2 tsp. black tea
1 tsp. sugar (opt)
gentle crush inside the tea pot and pour boiling water about 1 -2 cups at a height of 1 foot above the pot. Immediately strain into a mug....put your feet up and enjoy. All ingredients can be alter to your taste.
Smell the roses often...other than that I have absolutely no tips.

One of the worst enemies of the rose is the aphid.
Spray your roses fiercely with water instead of using pesticides. The aphids will die. You can also use a soapy water if aphids persist.

Full sun, plenty of air circulation, don't water in the evening, water in the morning.
Use sharp trimmers when making cuttings. Always wash your trimmer with soap and water if your plants end up with black spot.
