Hello everyone! I just moved into a new home that was constructed in 1960. All of the appliances are from that era. My stove, which is useable, needs to be cleaned. Since it is a gas stove from 1960, how would I go about cleaning out the oven? Same way as the newer models? Easy off and a good sponge or is that a disaster waiting to happen?

I have a few doors inside my house that will not shut tightly. It's as though the latch in the door handle can't catch in the door frame. Rather than get frustrated and yell, I figured some experienced home contractor could help me out.

Thanks!

berrry vines. They are VERY stickery and impossible to pull out of the ground. I want to kill them off-I've been told they harbor snakes- and I can't plant or weed for the vines. What and when should I use to kill them off?

it starts about a minute after you have turned the tap off and lasts for about a minute although it seems to be getting louder. It happens after running hot or cold or flushing the loo. Any ideas what is causing it and how I can stop it?

I plan to add an addition that adds more to the kitchen a living room, master bedroom, master bath, and two other smaller bedrooms. I have 100amp service now and was wondering would it be ok to just to add a 100amp subpanel sense I have 4 open breakers left to do it or should I just change over to a 200amp service? I plan on doing alot of the work myself but I could'nt do the 200amp change over. Help what do you think?

We just removed wallpaper from a hall and found alot of bad walls. The area will be hard to fix with drywall and we really think patching would be harder. I thought of using the same thing as used to texture ceiling on the walls. But I don't know what the stuff is called that is used on the ceiling. Can someone tell me? Also I don't know what kind of design will work that won't be too rough or stucco like. Any suggestions?

If the thin ice layer is not cleaned up, it builds upand water then begins leaking out the bottom of the freezer door on to the floor. Of course this is a fairly slow process. Seems as if the freezing/water source is from the freezer coils or what ever is behind the metal cover in the back of the freezer compartment. There is ice at the base of that cover. What would cause this?
