I say you shouldn't eat them,but my hubby says you can...anyone know about them?

I grew up in the country in upstate new york,the marshy areas
on our property were thick with the growth of "wild scallions" and "ramps".We ate them all the time and had neighbors begging us for them,the flavor of wild onion far exceeds that of the bland store bought kind.

They are just onions they won't hurt you, I've eaten them. Just make sure that you wash off any herbicide or pesticide that you may have sprayed . I don't know why anyone would want to eat them, the taste is really strong.

They are pesky little volunteers but also delicious. Don't use the usual amount when you cook - they are quite strong. My neighborhood smelled like onions when I cut the grass...

They are really good with fried potatoes.
