Try unbending a metal hanger and poke it around in the drain. See if you hit anything solid or pull up a lot of greasy hair. Also make sure that you've poured a lot of boiling water down the drain - sometimes grease clogs are hard to get rid of. If the drain is still clogged, then it's time to call in someone who knows about plumbing for assistance. Good luck.

It could be like one of the others said a cap from something fell down it or something similiar- get a coat hanger a wire one and open the end with the hook and make the hook smaller w/ pliers and stick into the drain and twist it back and forth and go up and down-it may help to have a sm. flash light so you can look directly down the drain as u do this and see if anything gets caught on the hook of the hanger if you do see something try fishing it out with the hahger or something else!

I would try and pull the p-trap first, if the plug is further down the drain, you can buy a snake at home improvement stores and snake the drain out. Just push and turn until it clears. If that doesn't do it then it's time to call Roto-Rooter.

On some drains there is a thing called a P trap, that is sometimes removable as it is assembled.

Look underneath the sink to see if there are any large nuts screwed on around the pipes, if so then you can disconnect the drains trap and check in there.

After that rent a router.

The blockage could be in the line going out towards the main sewer line. You'll need a plumber for that...time to call Roto Rooter!

Sounds like something solid (milk lid, handle off broken coffee cup) has fallen down there. drano would not get rid of these and water would go around them but very slowly.
