Hi there. To me the HE detergents are too expensive. I use 1/2 the normal amount of liquid detergent with great results. It rinses out clean and really makes the liquid last for quite a while. Since the front loaders use less water, using less regular detergent is best. Have a great year.

Remember front loaders require less detergent (about half as much, maybe 3/5ths, read the manual, or check at a store that sells them...), and use the one you like.

I use Tide HE (High Efficiency) for our front loader. The smell is great and it cleans great. You don't have to use as much as you would for top loaders (half of the cup for a full load). I've tried other (cheaper) products but I can tell the difference with the smell and overall cleanliness of the clothes. I highly recommend Tide HE.
