My cycad is going yellow from the stem out. I have the plant in area where is received light for most of the day without being in the direct sun. I live in Cairns Australia and my zone is 9. I have other cycads in the same pots and they don't seem to be suffering. Yes they do get a regular drink, but not everyday.

Well today I took down my brick fireplace with a chisel and hammer and want to tile it. I have never done either one and actually learned to remove the brick on yahoo. I have an idea of how to tile because I watched a contractor tile my dining room. I understand what I need to buy and how I use spacers... y questions are how do I mix grout? how do I mix thinset? and I was going to buy a tile cutter at Lowes, something small. I dont need any round or weird angle cuts just straight... is it pretty easy to use a wet saw? Thank you for any help!!

When my furnce is on it seems to make alot of noise, not unberrable but noise. It seems when it kicks on after a few moments when it is circulating it makes like a banging noise none of the pipes move or anything. It almost sounds like air pockets getting forced around. It had it's last service on November of last year and the blow off valve and expansion tank replaced and the furnace is only about 6 years old.... Any thoughts about this would be helpful before i have to have some one come back to look at it
Thanks alot, Tom

What do you do if there is a bathroom door that is locked, and no one can get in, and no one is in to unlock it? (beside calling a locksmith or something) how do you do that trick where you get a hair pin and stick it in the lock?

Never mind how it got there (it's a long story). In any event, I have several white towels with lint all over them and was wondering if there may be a way to remove it fairly easily, or at least less difficult than what I am doing (by hand.) Thanks!

My basement floor becomes damp as water soaks up from the ground below after it rains. I can't tear up the floor and put in concrete, but I'd like to lay down some sort of plastic grating so that I'm not walking on the dampness--any suggestions?

We've had ants for probably about a month now, And we've had them before. But last time we got an exterminator and they were gone within a few days. This time we got them again, And about three weeks ago we had an exterminator come and spray TWICE. There aren't as many but I'm still killing some each day. They are in different places and they aren't in lines. We have no clue where the nest is either. I don't think my mom would appreciate me leaving pepper and cinnamon and spraying vinegar about her nice floors and baseboards. Should we just wait it out or get the exterminator again?
