Never mind how it got there (it's a long story). In any event, I have several white towels with lint all over them and was wondering if there may be a way to remove it fairly easily, or at least less difficult than what I am doing (by hand.) Thanks!

Yeah, CR, that's what I pretty much had in mind! No, what I did was washed a large comforter and dried it forgetting to change the lint filter. I had no idea that this particular comforter would produce so much lint. I then dried the towels not realizing the filter was full (I had just changed it on the previous load) and the lint actually backed up into the dryer! So, there I have it. Five or six white towels covered in lint. Oh well, live and learn! Thanks for the tip.

Try masking tape, it gets fuzz off sweaters

Not sure how well it will work on towels, but I have defuzz-ed and de-linted my sweaters etc for the longest time this way...with a disposable razor. Yep. Just like the kind you would shave your legs with. It may be more difficult on towels. Not positive how it would work on that texture of fabric, but it's worth a try I suppose. If that doesn't work you can always go and buy one of those little battery operatedshavers that are specifically made for lint.

Good luck! I know how annoying that can be... I feel for ya! lol

hahaha, Did you wash the bathroom rugs with the white towels? jk...Honestly, I don't think they will ever look the way they used to. Lint balls all over my white towels would really bother me. If it were me, I would probably give up and use them as cleaning rags. If you have a lot of free time, keep picking and try the tape trick. Even better, wait for a good sale and go get some new ones.

You can buy an electric clothes shaver just for these purposes and it works well on pilling on sweaters too, or furniture, or flannel sheets. Ask at Walmart. They work very well, but don't buy the small battery operated ones, they are next to useless. They cost around $12.

Try packing tape. Buy a sweater shaver if this sort of thiing happens often, it'll save a lot of time.
