Probably $100 -150 a week. Most of that is fresh food, though - eggs fruit, veg., meat. Packaged stuff I try to avoid. There are two of us, adults, in the Adelaide hills.

2 adults and 2 children. Probably close to $500 per week (I'm a fair distance from the city, so we are hit with extra freight costs on all products.) Then there's the price of fuel $1.45/lt the last time I fuelled up. You don't get much for your money these days.

There are 2 of us, 1 adult and 1 teenager and I'd say we spend about $220.00 a fortnight. We spend a minimal amount on takeaways. I bake cakes and muffins instead of buying them. I don't buy frozen meals. It is easy to spend heaps and really difficult to buy economically. I have started making skim milk from powder for myself. It will be cheaper and hopefully reduce my kilojoule intake. Hey there's always hope!
