What do you do if there is a bathroom door that is locked, and no one can get in, and no one is in to unlock it? (beside calling a locksmith or something) how do you do that trick where you get a hair pin and stick it in the lock?

what kind of lock is it. Does it have a keyway or just a round hole? If it has a keyway you can use any key to stick in there and open it. Even a flat head screw driver and turn it. If it is a round hole take a wire coat hanger and bend it straight. Stick it directly in there(straight and level) and feel around for a springy button....when you feel it simply push and it should release the lock. Those types of locks on bathroom doors are cheap a key to a file cabinet would open it. The hair pin would be used as a tension tool while you would need a small thin piece of metal called a pick to manipulate the tumblers in the lock. Basicly a bathroom lock only has one tumbler so you wouldn't need a tension tool for that. just anything you can get to fit in the keyway will work.

Bathroom door locks are usually very easy to pick. My old lock you could just turn with your thumb. Try a paperclip, use it like a key. The hinge pins would be on the other side of the door, so unless you are in the bathroom that will not be possible.

Door knob may have small hole in center that alows for exterior unlocking with sturdy piece of wire or try inside of bal point pen. Or remove hinge pins and pull entire door.
