Mealy bugs (grey/white fuzzy looking) can be eradicated by using Isopropyl alcohol on a cotton ball - takes a little time, but it will kill the critters and not harm your plant. The little spiders referred to are spider mites (small as the dot over this i, you'll know they are there by the fine webs and small spots on leaves,) very dificult to get rid of, requires the use of Disyston sprinkled on the soil and watered in. Smells bad, works good.

check this out sometimes it can be one nasty tiny spider that destroys them.. all you have to do is turn the leaves over and if you see a web then get rid of it and teee daaa.. happy plants.

warm soapy water would probably draw anything that is in the dirt out without hurting your plants.

i hate to say this but it either requires poisons and other nasties or by taking the soil out of the pot and going through all the soil and killing them manually :(

i dont know of any other way :(

peace out
