We've had ants for probably about a month now, And we've had them before. But last time we got an exterminator and they were gone within a few days. This time we got them again, And about three weeks ago we had an exterminator come and spray TWICE. There aren't as many but I'm still killing some each day. They are in different places and they aren't in lines. We have no clue where the nest is either. I don't think my mom would appreciate me leaving pepper and cinnamon and spraying vinegar about her nice floors and baseboards. Should we just wait it out or get the exterminator again?

Hey Becky.... I'm also a Becky with ant problems. My ants do not go in a single line either. My grandmother is a believer in old timey remedies and she has made a believer out of me. She gave me the answer to my ant problem.... Now I am giving it to you. Peel a cucumber in long strips. Just lay the long cucumber peelings (not the cucumber part) around the baseboard where you see the ants. They hate it! No mess... just pick them up the next day and peel another one and do the same thing. They will eventually go outside where they belong. Good Luck!

For every one you see there are about 50 in the walls. Try to find the moisture problem that is making your house a suitable environment for them. Leaking pipes, Poor outside drainage. Even a small breach in the caulk around the exterior of a window is enough to allow water in the walls and you wouldn't even realize it.. As long as there is moisture they will keep coming back. What you absolutley don't want to do is spray raid or those other ant killing sprays. All that will do is make them move to other sections of your house. They will typically stay in one area and come out to gather food and bait if you have any. Has the exterminator sprayed in the wall cavities?

Get your pest control guy to Drill and inject the walls from the outside. It can take time to cure ants. They dont start overnight and for the most part cant go away that quickly either. think about the fact that your pest control guy has to eliminate over 200,000-500,000 ants in your structure and that you only see maybe 1% of the problem. Like an oil change on your car maitenence is key to keeping them gone.

if your location is a site that had had multitude of anthills then u can't really do much about it except have the whole community go through extermination en masse. but if your it is only with your own household then the only reason for the presence of ants, roaches, flies and rodents is availability of their food so please contain your supplies.
