Nice house, just what we wanted, but the hallway is a nightmare. it is standard size but the entire side is closets that close with bi-fold doors. The closets are great, and we don't want to lose the space, but it is so 80's. SEVEN sets.

If I hire a carpenter for a couple days and pay him $20 per hour, what is a ballpark figure to pour 700 sq. feet of concrete slab 3.5" thick for labor and material? I just want a real rough ball-park guess-timate. Assume I work as the the carpenter's helper.

One of my family members has always wanted a Roomba vacuum thing. I told her that I would get it for her for her birthday but she asked me to get the imitations instead of the trademark product (costing upwards of $250).

Does anyone know of any other brands that work effectively and are in the price range of up to $150? I found one for $50 but it seems too good to be true..

Thanks :o)

I have a few Asiatic Lily plants in pots used to decorate an indoor water feature. The blooms are nearly expired and they're looking pretty sad (still green though). I really hate to throw them out but was wondering if they would survive if I planted them outside in Zone9B? Is it too hot? If so, should I cut them back and would they regrow in the container?

Last night I found footprints going to and from my back door. It had just snowed and so the prints were fresh. My husband said I could use his gun but I don't want to have to resort to that. I'm thinking about renting Home Alone but I want to make this person wish they had never thought of bothering us. I need your help!!!

I bought 2 shamrock or clover plants at the grocery store. And like most grocery store plants, they have no tags to indentify the type of clover or how to care for it. It has only 3 leaves per shamrock and it has white flowers. Can anyone tell me what sort clover this is and what sort of light conditions this plant prefers and does it like alot of water or not so much. Thanks!

My house is around 15 years old. I just bought it in August. It has a full bottom floor, and then basically a full second floor, though I think originally it just had a large attic that was converted into a second floor. There is still a small attic - but you have to crawl around. There are also crawl spaces on either side of the upstairs that run the full length of the house. Right now there are just a few pieces of plywood scattered here and there. The rest is two-by-fours and insulation. I would like to lay down plywood (nail it down) the entire length of the crawlspace - so I can use it for storage, but wasn't sure if there was some reason (e.g. moisture) that I shouldn't. Also, was considering cutting out some of the sheetrock and using parts of the crawlspace to put in receded bookshelves and dressers, etc.

We are going to be getting a washer and dryer delivered the beginning of next month. Its going to go into a little room near the back door. The room is about 6 feet by 6 feet. There is already hook ups in the room from the previous tenants. Since we lived here I had the room filled with boxes. Now Im moving the boxes off the wall where the hook-ups are and realized there is no outlet on that wall. how do we plug it in? There is a outlet on the opposite wall. Is it possible that they used a extension cord?
