Nice house, just what we wanted, but the hallway is a nightmare. it is standard size but the entire side is closets that close with bi-fold doors. The closets are great, and we don't want to lose the space, but it is so 80's. SEVEN sets.

Weird! Maybe make some of them into open shelving areas and put lighting in there to highlight collectibles, vases or photos. It would make the hallway seem bigger while being something to look at as you walk through.

For the sets that you want to keep as closets, just get different doors that look more modern.

Or you could hang curtain instead of doors for some of them.

Or just change it up with mix of each three, keeping the same color family and textures throughout, and it should look pretty interesting.

Sounds fun! Hope this helped!

Maybe you can seal off some of them with drywall and demolish the back wall of the closets, increasing the square footage of the room behind them. Or after you drywall, you could have the closets open into that room instead of the hallway (if you don't want to lose the storage space).

You could take the doors out & replace with curtains; pocket doors, blinds.

You could paint a scene on a roll up shade, or even staple fabric on a roll up shade to match something else like your drapes. Roman shades?

If you made a wall of pull out drawers you could rubber stamp them or even use wallpaper on the fronts or even mirror tiles that would add more light to the area.

You could break up the wall by taking out the doors on one closet & turning it into a little sitting area or a place to put mail with a lamp & a small table, mirror that wall so it is lit up or put a wallpaper mural in there, maybe a Japanese scene with a little footbridge?

LOL I don't know your decor but there are a few ideas as I envision it.
