I was wondering about heating costs, where you purchased yours, and the appx. cost of the unit itself.

You should factor in the cost of upgrading the electrical service to your home as well as the electrical distribution panel. This could easily add upwards of $1000 or more to the installation price.

Check with Atlantic Thermal Star at 3667 Strawberry Hill Street in Halifax. 902-446-3033 for pricing or other possible options. Check the yellow pages you aren't in the HRM area.

I do not live in Nova Scotia, but I do own more than 50 mobile homes. I can tell you that electrical resistance heat is VERY expensive. Even here in North Carolina, it is not economical and we have mild winters. You can buy a 12KW furnace for about $350 US. I would buy the smallest (lowest KW) furnace you could find. I always buy Coleman.

I'm sorry, but my electric furnace lives in Pixley, Virginia.

I wish I could help you out more on this matter.
