Put on a rubber dish washing glove, preferably one that is textured. Make sure that the glove is dry. With the palm of the gloved hand brush the furniture. This easily gathers all the surface hair up.

What I did before I got my new cat was cleaned it really well, with a lint brush then sprayed it with Static Guard so it wouldn't stick as bad. For up keep I either use those sticky rollers with the sheets or my lint brush which is made by 'Evercare' and is re-usable. Also a good thing to remember is to brush your pet to get off the shedding fur. I hope this helps you out.

I use those sticky lint rollers that you pull off the fur covered piece to reveal a new sticky piece. They work great for me.

Put on a rubber glove and wipe hair off. I've also found that Scotch-Brite brand sticky rollers have a stronger stick than any other brand I've tried.
