I understand how to cut corners...but i dont want to nail through front of molding to cabinets...if possible...besides just nailing the bottom wouldn't be strong enough to hold it,,,is there something you put behind molding on top of the cabinets...

Hello Everyone:

I don't want to sound like I am whining or complaining, but we have tried to tell our landlord that our dryer is not working properly and he basically just blew us off like we were crazy and didn't know what we were talking about. The problem with our dryer is that it takes AT LEAST three cycles on the hottest setting on our dryer, before our clothes even get romotely dry. Also our power bill was over $200.00 dollars and I am thinking that it is our heating element on our dryer because I know for a fact that we don't use that much power during the day! If you have any tips or suggestions on what we could do to fix this problem,I would be so thankful and appreciative!! ;-) P.S. Our clothes dryer is a Whirlpool and it is about 10 years old!! ;-)

Of course "fastest" is relative since the whole family of oaks are slow-growing. We just bought our house a short time ago and are planning on being here for quite a long time (30+ years). I also have some related questions:
2. I have seen some oak trees for sale that are 6-8 feet tall, but their age is not mentioned. What age would you estimate them to be?
3. For some shade without the wait of oaks, I was wanting to plant some Silver Maples as well. What distance should be between them and the oaks?
4. I saw neighbors having trees planted last fall, is that the only time of year that is good for planting them? When are the best times of year?
5. We have about 10' of property behind our fence at the back of the yard. Is that enough space to grow these trees without encroaching on the neighbor's property? It gets plenty of moisture and sunlight there and there are no underground cables or pipes.

We live near St. Louis and so we are near the border between hardiness zones 5 & 6.

Based on your environmental or financial knowledge and experience, would you prefer a septic tank or public sewage system in your neighborhood? Why? Anyone got any good sources? Thanks.

some idiot mistook my last question as being inappropriate so I will REPHRASE: Please provide websites where I can purchase a -ready to assemble- sofa, couch, chair, etc. Upholstered or just the framing.
I have bought a sofa, for under $400 and I like it alot, but am wondering if there are more sites to choose from SINCE I LOVE HAVING CHOICES. (IN THAT PRICE RANGE AND THAT 'S WHY I MENTIONED THE PRICE AND THE WEBSITE IN MY FIRST POST, since I like having CHOICES.)
and finally-to REPHRASE-
If you have been happy with YOUR experience with any ready to assemble living room/family room type furniture and are interested in possibly expanding the offerings in that market, please feel free to email me. IS THAT REALLY SO OFFENSIVE? I am not marketing anything here. I am asking for 1. Links 2. discussion about the current offerings in that market. I would love it if people could recommend a good brand of coffee, too, but that would be too many questions.

Hello Everyone:

I would like to know why do we keep getting cockroaches when our house is not dirty,it is kept very clean? Could anyone suggest something that we could use in order to get rid of them? Preferably,I would like something that works to keep cockroaches away and doesn't involve using toxic chemicals! Does anyone know of any natural remedies in order to keep cockroaches away? We have checked our house very thoroughly and we don't see any cracks or crevices that they can come in from outside! I just don't understand why we keep seeing these nasty creatures when we keep everything immaculate, keep our cereals, sugar, flour, etc stored in rubbermaid plastic containers,etc... If you have any advice or tips on how to repel cockroaches, please let me know! I know one thing for sure, cockroaches are just like rabbits, once they reproduce you can be guaranteed that there are hundreds of them hiding around the house somewhere! *Sighs with Frustration* :-(

I tossed a bunch of dirty action figures, stuffed animals, and big plastic toy soldier mountain playset into the garbage. I know the stuffed animals won't but what about the plastic toys?
