Hello Everyone:
I would like to know why do we keep getting cockroaches when our house is not dirty,it is kept very clean? Could anyone suggest something that we could use in order to get rid of them? Preferably,I would like something that works to keep cockroaches away and doesn't involve using toxic chemicals! Does anyone know of any natural remedies in order to keep cockroaches away? We have checked our house very thoroughly and we don't see any cracks or crevices that they can come in from outside! I just don't understand why we keep seeing these nasty creatures when we keep everything immaculate, keep our cereals, sugar, flour, etc stored in rubbermaid plastic containers,etc... If you have any advice or tips on how to repel cockroaches, please let me know! I know one thing for sure, cockroaches are just like rabbits, once they reproduce you can be guaranteed that there are hundreds of them hiding around the house somewhere! *Sighs with Frustration* :-(

They are probly breeding in the drains, water pipes. They can get in through the tiniest of openings. We get the big ones here - almost 2 inches long - they don't worry me. Set some cockroach baits, they work a treat.

Have you checked to make sure there are no leaks in any of the water pipes in your house? Roaches love being near dampness. You can try sprinkling boric acid powder around all the baseboards and inside cabinets. Keep it away from pets and babies as consuming or breathing the powder can bet poisonous. Personally, I feel there is nothing like setting off bug bombs. Once you get rid of the colony it should be much easier to maintain. Make sure all trash is placed outdoors at the end of the day and they can't reach pet food. Try to insure they can't reach any food supply by keeping food in secure containers other than the easy to break into packaging that it comes from the store in(oops, just reread and you do this) . Constant treating is the best method. The problem with roaches is they've been here since the dinosaurs and they are survivors with no plans to leave. The good thing for you is everyone gets them from time to time so you shouldn't feel bad.

If you are in Florida or that area, cockroaches are a way of life, like termites. What can help is sprinkle borax powered soap around any opening to the outside, and pour a little bleach in the drains, Yes, the do come up through the drains. Boric acid powder is another deterrent.

have you ever checked to confirm there are no leaks in any of the water pipes on your place? Roaches love being close to dampness. you may try sprinkling boric acid powder around each and every of the baseboards and interior cabinets. shop it far off from pets and toddlers as eating or respiration the powder can wager poisonous. individually, i've got self belief there is not any longer something like putting off computer virus bombs. as quickly as you do away with the colony it would possibly be lots much less annoying to maintain. confirm all trash is located outdoors on the top of the day and that they might't attain puppy food. attempt to insure they might't attain any food grant via retaining food in look after boxes different than the easy to break into packaging that it comes from the keep in(oops, basically reread and you try this) . consistent treating is the main suitable technique. the problem with roaches is they have been right here simply by fact the dinosaurs and that they are survivors without plans to go away. the stable element for you is all human beings gets them at times so which you will possibly desire to no longer sense undesirable.

Anyone can get roaches. They can come in cardboard boxes, bulk pet food, or come in a sack of potatoes. It only takes one roach for a major infestation to occur. If you squash a female she lays her eggs before she dies. So don't squash them. If they are extra large roaches and move slowly, then they are more than likely field cockroaches. Field roaches live underground in your yard and you can flush them out with water if you locate the burrows. These type aren't attracted to filth. If they are regular smaller ones then your infestation is in the walls and you will have to use an exterminator to completely irradicate them. It could take a long time but with persistance they can be wiped out. If you live in an apartment or multiple dwelling home then the whole complex needs to be treated. I have heard of infestations that are so out of control that they can't be exterminated completely. They are probably the only living thing that can survive a nuclear attack. Good luck.

Make sure all the cracks to the outside are filled such as under doorways and windows. Also check basement windows and doors and be sure to check the concrete walls for any cracks. Cockroaches are the only living thing that can survive a nuclear explosion so I don't thinks any chemicals will help you.

I had that problem a few years ago and couldn't figure out why so I just watched where they were coming from and sprayed constantly. Well eventually I realized they were in the insulation behind the refrigerator and kept reproducing thus an never ending battle. I had to take out the insulation and replace it. If you need to do this keep a can of spray in your hands and kill them as them come out. Good Luck.

1: Cockroaches are not a sign your house is dirty. Having a dirty house helps them.
2: Do you have a basement?
3: Are you sure they are not in the walls (where there might be wood rot)?
4: Do they come from your neighbors?

some areas just have them really bad . but they can come into your home in your purse clothes etc. so if you work outside the home like at a restraunt. keep you personal belongings in your car. theose dirty lil bugs get into everything. i went to a garage sale once bought a tv and gezzz there was 100's of them in the tv back ,,, GROSS,,, but also there is this paste/powder item works wonders and all hardware or where you purchase insect sprays will carry it, just ask for the paste not spray or lil box homes, they wont get rid of them.

This might be bc your neighboors don't keep their house clean, or the surroundings you are in.
Also it doesn't matter if your house is clea (ok well it does), but if you leave food laying around it will attract many kinds of pests.
Buy those sticky pads, that the bugs stick to or they have these corner tiny boxes that the insects go into but never come out.
good luck
