After vacuuming it thorougly, wipe down with a damp rag. The rag will pick up any remainder of the dust. If you want it totally clean you can get one of those handheld steamers as they work well.
Or you can rent a carpet shampooer from you local hardware store or Lowes or Home depot. They can be used sucessfully to shampoo cloth furniture and they dont cost more than $20 a day.

I even have all hardwood flooring and tile in my abode-- I by no potential vacuum except this is the little kitchen mat the canines choose for to place on. Logically i might have the lady vaccum then dirt simply by fact the vacuum kicks up debris in the air so what's the factor of dusting in the past?

well I think a damp cloth is just as good if there´s not much dust
