I live in Whitby, Ontario... and I have a pretty hideous neighbour. I'd like to plant some plants along the fence that is between our respective yards... but I'm not sure what kind would be best. I don't care about the colors, but my neighbour would call the Town and complain if the plants are TOO high... I just want to block the wretched people out (they're the kind of people that are 'do as I say, not as I do' and will call the Town if you don't clean your driveway within 3 minutes of a snowfall!)

If anyone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it - and even more so, the privacy!

Thanks!

Me and my friend were tring to pick a friend's door lock as a joke. Unfortunately, we got a small bit of wood (from the end of a cocktail umbrella stick) stuck inside the lock. Tweezers and even a straightened out paper clip will not remove the wood and currently we can not get the key more than halfway into the lock. Any suggestions? (Other than a locksmith as we are students and that is a last resort!!)

I leave my heat around 70 and it automatically kicks on and off which I guess is not a problem. But when the heat kicks on, it rumbles very loudly. So loud I can hear it upstairs on the 2nd floor of the house and the heater is in the basement. What could be causing this noise and is it normal. We just bought his house in July and had it inspected.

My condo has become infested with German Cockroaches and they ae even chewing holes thru the walls, coming out the electric outlets. They are so bad I even have them in my car from climbing in my purse. I have had professionals out many times and the Regieme sends a bug man every other month. There are thousands of these things. What can I do. I can't keep paying a bug man $100 every 2 weeks.

I have an entertainment center that is very close to the fireplace. There is no other place to move it to, and it gets a bit hot when the fireplace is on. Is there some kind of furniture cover or other product that would protect the wood from the heat?
