The big piece fits over the tooth, and the other peice is a small piece at the bottom that protefts the real tooth.. Do you have any ideas to keep the temp on (both pieces) till i get back from business trip (nine days).

There are temporary fixes that you can get at almost every drug store that are just for that. You will find it next to your dental stuff, toothpaste, etc. Some of them come in a clay kind of mixture that all you have to do is work it in between your fingers to soften. The other kind is a dry mixture and liquid that you mix until you get the correct consistency (almost like the clay mixture). Mend the the two broken pieces together with either of these mixtures and let them set. Then use some of the same mixture to put inside your crown. Press that over your existing tooth but not too hard and hold it there until that sets. Try not to use that tooth at all if possible. Avoid drinking any hot liquids. If you really need to drink hot liquids, use a straw so it won't go directly over the tooth.
Since you have nine days until you get home, keep your temporary kit at hand. The temporary crown should have lasted longer than it did, but that's not either here nor now at this point.
I trully hopes this helps.

You may find this odd, but the same thing happened to me. I dried off my tooth and the broken piece and used Super Glue! Temporary fix. The other thing I did was used sculpture nail mix as a temporary fill in. It worked! Just make sure your tooth is dry!

Don't know as you can do it yourself. The dentist who installed it should be able to get you in on an emergency basis.
