If you have reason, and the authority to do so, going to your neighbors with a gun might be appropriate, but not very neighborly. If you were visiting my house with a gun, concealed or otherwise, you had better have a very good reason as I would consider it invasion.

I have been in the security business for more than 36 years.
We offer hundreds of solutions people to protect their homes, & not one of them involves guns in any way whatsoever.
Keep your gun safely locked away in a proper storage locker inside your home when you visit a neighbour. That's just being a good neighbour. If you feel threatned by your neighbour in any way, then that's what we have Police for.
So call a professional.

so you have a gun or your neighbor? If you have a gun then i guess your attacking your neighbor, if he is trying to harm you then it's self defense, hence protecting you and your home. but these matters are better left to law informant. If your neighbor has the gun then your putting yourself at risk for "going" there.
