I have heard that there are certain times of the year where retailers have the best sales and deals. I was wondering if anyone out there might me able to shed some light on this for me. I am renovating my kitchen and, of course, would like to save as much money as possible.

I'm such a klutz! I had an oil lamp on my table and was distracted when distractedly I tossed my purse (made from some kind of washable waterproff fabric - kind of like "raincoat materiel") on the table & shoved my coat into the chair. Hence, the lamp turned over & dripped, possibly all night.

I've washed & dryed it twice & it still reeks! Is there anyone who knows something I can wash it in - like you do tomatoe juice for a skunk smell on pets? Or can I/do I have to wait it out?

My house seems to have alot of electricity flotting around. EVERY time I touch a light sockeet to turn it off or on, it shocks me really bad. Even touching each other around the house gives off shocks. Its not just a light shock, sometimes it hurts. Its at the point where my son is scared to turn off the lights.

Is there something I should be considering with this? Is it dangerous?

I have 5 racoons that come to my house about every week or so and party down usually about 3 AM or so. We have no food outside at all. They get under the house and bang the water pipes, they get up on the roof and tear up the shingles. I'm looking for something that I could buy that would scare them away or a smell maybe that they did not like. I know a dog would work however my wife and I both work right now so can't do that.

my daughter is potty training and i have been putting plastic panties on her. i wash them in bleach in cold water and hang dry them. a few of them have little tears in them and i want to sew them instead of throwing them out and getting new ones. it could get expensive this way! anyway, is it okay to sew them or would they tear even more in the washer?

Just bought one today from the body shop, but after it was lit for 5 mins, the oil started to give off thick black smoke like it was going to go on fire. Is this supposed to happen? It said on the instructions not to dilute the oil with water.

I have a soft plastic round item the size of an orange. I want to cut the base evenly so that it can stand up of its own accord to form a paperweight. What sort of DIY tool would do this ?? Thanks

We bought a used mobile home from a dealer and when we looked at it for the first time, it had an aweful smell like urine. We felt that it was cleanable, however after removing sheetrock we saw that the walls had so much urine soaked in them, it had rose up the wall and in the floor and in the studs. We want the dealer to take it back and give us out money back....

The pan was used to boil a ham in Coke (great recipe, tastes fantastic), however it boiled dry and there is now a thick mess of hardened sugar and tar marks all over it.
