I have cleaned my coffee pots with clorox for years. Mine is a 12 cup so I fill the pot almost full of water and then add 1/4 cup of Clorox. I pour this into the machine. I let it stand for about 15 minutes so that it takes all the water stains out of the tank. I then run the Clorox water through the machine. This also kills any bacteria caused by the small amount of water that is left in your tank. I then run 3 pots of clean water through. I find that this also eliminates the musty odor that a coffee machine can get.

What I do is do the vinegar and then just run a few cycles of clear water through it, that way it gets the remaining vinegar off the insides of the unit. Hope this helps

White vinegar works best. Run liquid through 3-4 times. Run clean water through 5-6 times.

Vinegar and water is the right way to clean it.. now just run water only though 3-4 times and you should be all set.

After you do the vinegar/water thing......run a couple of pots of clear water through it. You can also check with the manufacturer for their cleaning instructions. You should be able to find that online rather easily.
