Sounds like your floor is not level, and also maybe you don't have enough help. Been working on a laminate floor project the past few weeks, had that problem too. Made my two kids and the wife come and help hold all of the various sections, we finally got it into place. Just wait til you spend 45 minutes cutting a piece to fit around a corner and also under a door, and then slip and break it while installing. That was fun.

Are you saying you have done just one row and are starting on the second? Or have you done a few rows without any hassle?
If its the first then it took me ages to sort out the angle to present up against the 'click in' bit, which worked out at about 20 degrees, I also had some minor problems with the floor not being 100% level, this will stop any clicking in taking place, but can be easily sorted by sticking some paper on top of your underlay.
And yet more problems when I finally read the instructions and found that each row needed to overlap the joints of the previous row! for added strength , the edges must be absolutely square or you get a click half way along the length, then that's your lot.
Just finished mine, 3 days at 3 hours per day, that's all I could take, it could have been finished faster but I had my wife 'helping' she 'helped' by tutting whenever she felt it appropriate to throwin a few tuts! and offering meaningful advise like "Do you know what your doing"??? After 3 hours a day I was shattered , not with the work but the advise, it was like a mad house, I kept telling her I didnt want a bloody laminated floor in the first place, we only had a new carpet fitted 12 months ago! Of course she had a ready logical answer to this point, it was "Dont talk silly love" !!!!!!! Aaghaaaaaaaa!!!!
Hope you sort it out soon , do you want my wife to give you any advise? your welcome.
Just re read some of your answers, I forgot to mention you certainy do need the 'fixing kit' mine cost 15 quid, but there is no way I could have done the job without it!

The nexy length needs to be tilted up at a 45 degree angle then insert the tounge into the grove and press down holding pressure against the first row. Also after doing this try using a mallet and a scrap piece of wood to tap the pieces together to form a tight seam. Hope this helps.

try a few different pieces, they can be badly machined, as a fitter floors 2 go springs to mind. it may be the first row that is out

I'm sure your aware you need to tilt it at a 45 degree angle, so try getting a few more hands. one on each end and a couple in the middle.

if you bought it out of B&Q then this stuff is so hard to work with its unreal - my advice is a profesional tapping block it costs about 20 quid - but it done a treat for me - i was just using a little rubbish standard one without going anywere until i was told about this.
