I am thinking about doing a Broadway themed bedroom. I have some show posters and playbills that I think I am going to frame and hang on a wall. I also was thinking about putting stage lights in the corners of the room and maybe get a mirror and put lights around it like the backstage of a theater. I also thought about painting the outline of a city skyline on a wall and maybe on the other walls have music notes. Do you have any other ideas that I overlooked? What do you think of stage curtains on the windows and possibly behind my bed. Please give me some more ideas! Thanks!

Our kitchen sink is clogged and we've tried everything, outside of calling a plumber. I used draino, plunger, kleer drain (uses Co2 cartriges) and a 25' snake. It's still clogged. It's the only thing in our house that is clogged, so I'm guessing the clog is fairly contained. We would really like to fix this ourselves, without hiring a plumber, because of the cost. Someone was telling us you can rent a 150' snake with razors on it. I guess the razors help break up whatever is clogging it. Not sure if this is something we'd want to do or not. Do any of you have any tried and true products or ideas you could suggest? Thanks!

I love using bleach because it kills like alllllll the germs and makes your house smell clean and fresh, but recently I've been told to use vinegar, but vinegar stinks, but I haven't tried it yet.

By that I mean hard graft rather than chemicals for everything. I am not perfect but am quite prepared to do my bit to help the environment. Take our time to do things rather than the easy way out.

My house is very broken up and right now all the walls are white. I want some color, Ilike the light browns but my boyfriend dislikes them. I am thinking lighter colors and I am going to keep all the trim work white which i think will look sharp and I am putting silver outlets on all the outlet and switch covers. What colors would look great?

Would you paint your bedroom a dark charcoal (almost black) color? Out of the photos shown below, which room will you choose? Click link below to view photos and tell me what you think.

We moved into our house several years ago and it's covered in an ugly forest green carpet. Our kitchen however has a nice wood laminate floor. Our carpet is nasty and needs to be replaced, but I can't decide if I should get new carpet or if I should use the same floor that is in our kitchen, for our entire house.

I love the way carpet looks and feels, but I'm thinking of something that will last for quite some time. I have 3 kids and 3 dogs and I worry that carpet will get nasty pretty quickly, but I am also concerned that hardwood floors are going to need daily cleaning, which I don't have time for.

We don't have a lot of money and have been saving up for this, so I really want to make sure I will be happy with what we choose.

Have any of you ever replaced capret with hardwood floors? Would you make the same decision? Any regrets?

If not native to Fl.....what are its origins and why are Floridians planting these trees.
Palms are not ecofriendly. They do not provide shade, do not attract birds what's the attraction other than making the area look tropical.

Okay, I've got worms coming in my house. Yes, it rained two nights ago and my house is pretty comfy compared to the cold weather outside, so I can't blame them for coming in.

But what can I do to get rid of the worms? Is there any particular thing i should spray in the yard? Or should I call pest control?

I bought a new multimeter today. I was playing around with it testing outlets and what not. I didn't realize I had the meter set to a resistance setting (2300k i think) and when I put the probes in the outlet , everything connected to that outlet went out. Everything else on the circuit appears to be fine, except for the one outlet (in the garage) where I probed it and the motion sensor light above the garage. I replaced the receptical and flipped all the breakers and nothing. I am now only getting a 1.9v reading. What did I do!???? How can it be fixed?

I used glaze to paint a fresco wall finish (two color glazes applied with brush stroke and blended with cheesecloth). The problem is I had to stop short of finishing a wall and when I went back to pick up where I left off, I have this VERY noticable "water" line. I was unable to blend the two areas.

Is there a technique to doing this ? Or is there a way to correct it, short of repainting the whole wall white and starting over?

Help!!!
