The radiator in the attic is only hot at the bottom part of it (not even half is hot). The upper part of the radiator is really cold. I really appreciate if any of you could help me with this problem. Thank you very much!
Please tell me step-by-step solution to overcome this problem. Thanks again!

Hi Everyone,

First time using this, and it's because I'm desperate for help.

My Question is this:
My roomate who lives with me, always stays in his room (yes its terrible), and the thing is he often eats takeout in his room and doesnt throw it away right away, so it starts to smell up his room, and it leaks into the apartment. I've asked him to clean up more often but being in university, hes often busy which is understandable.

So I've tried the plug in air fresheners but I think MASKING the problem isn't effective as solving it. I want to know if anyone has any good recommendations for a machine that effectively eliminates ODORS as the top priority?

I'm a bit confused as to whether air cleaners / air purifiers actually tackle the odor issue as well? For example, the Surround Air XJ2100 or the Ionic Breeze. Most of these focus on cleaning the air from allergens etc., not really the ODOR in the air.

Hope you guys can help. Thanks so much!

The prices I'm working with are about $1 each for a wash and dry, or rent them from an apartment complex for ~$25-30. I haven't checked an outside rental company for prices yet. Also, if I were to buy, I'd probably keep them for at least 4 years.

We have a 7 year old, above the range GE microwave oven. By the sounds it is making, we suspect the Magnetron is going out again. It did the same thing when it was about 2 years old. Should we repair it again or toss it?

How do I catch/kill a rat that lives in my garage. It is honestly the size of a Chihuahua. I had to cancel my exterminator due to cost & other bills, so it's been there a while, and has since chewed the seal and inside plastic of our outside fridge and crawled inside. It lives under the fridge. This is grossing me out!!!!!

I've got a stain on it, that's a bit stubborn, but don't think I can use anything abrasive. What do you use please?

Rudolph got a bit giddy last night and knocked over one of my Christmas candles. Some one told me to place some brown paper onto the cold wax and then run an iron over the top! But does it work?
I need a positive solution...I'm bothered in case i end up with a nasty stain on my 2 week old carpet, and Mrs C finds out!

Would appreciate some advice.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

ALL MY LOVE, SANTA!

I am painting our bathroom of our 70 year old house and need a paint that will cover some flaws yet still be highly resistant to water and humidity. I would like to use the same paint on the ceiling and upper walls in the shower that I use on the rest of the bathroom ceiling. Also, any tips on minimizing the mess and the drips would be highly appreciated. (The rest of the bathroom is not being repainted).

Thanks!

We have recently had a kitchen fitted and among other problems, the door to an integrated appliance isn't flush, this may result in a complete refit, therefore over the christmas period we have been without a fully functioning kitchen as we do not want to put things in their places, eg. utensils, food, jars, tins, plates etc. incase we have to remove it all again. All these are kept in our baby's room and he is in with us, as there is a freezer in his room (among other things), we also have a fridge in the hallway and have been unable to tile/paint as we do not know what will happen next. We have been inconvenienced, to say the least and feel that we should be entitled to some form of compensation. Any suggestions?

I would like to turn off one of the radiators in each of the unused rooms. It gets very warm in those rooms and I think one will suffice. Is it possible to safely turn one off? The thermostat is in the living/dining room area that is much larger and cooler, so that will control the temperature of the more frequently used rooms. Do the radiators have to be bled before you turn them off? Will turning them off save fuel (oil) costs? I think there is a shut off valve at the bottom of each radiator. Will shutting any of these off cut of the flow to the other radiators in the house? Any advice will be appreciated...

We also use white towels but they dot stink like the blue ones. Why is that? Does it really have to do with the fact that the towel is blue??

Thanks even though the question may seem weird...
