We heat with wood and or corn. Am wondering if anyone can tell me if i can claim either as tax deduction.

You can get a tax credit (not a deduction) for installing a more energy efficient heater the year you install it, but heating fuel, regardless of the type, is not tax deductible at all.

Why would you for wood. It not an alternative fuel source. I doubt for corn even if you convert it into biofuel.
